1970 LeMans Sport Convertible hood option question

Hi. I own a 1970 LeMans Sport Convertible and came from a car show and was told by a GTO owner that the hood with scoops doesn't belong on a LeMans. I was kinda thought it was an option that the original owner picked.Only because it has posi diff,tilt wheel,AC,front disc brakes,350 2bl and 350 automatic,bucket seats,console,sport wheels. Kinda loaded. I am going to contact PHS and order factory information kit,but I thought I might get some information here a lot quicker. I don't know why " Some " club members always seem to want to step on others without as nice a car as they have. But that's off the subject. Any help in my search for options available in 1970 for my lowly LeMans. Thanks

The kit you ordered should have a copy of the original window sticker but you could not order A GTO hood on a LeMans.
Even the GT-37 came with a flat hood

They are correct, the GTO style hood was not an option on Lemans until 1971, then the scooped hoods were optional until 1975.

But it is a very common modification, one I have been guilty of myself in the past.
