1972 catalina windshield washer pump

I have rebuilt the pump mechanism but nothing is coming out. When i turn it on there is air coming out of the lines but no matter how long it runs no fluid comes out, any suggestions?

Have you tried priming it by pouring water directly into input hose?
Have you checked filter at end of hose in washer tank for blockage?

I rebuilt it again and replaced a few more seals and hoses and it works perfectly now

Good to hear. Not that many parts from what I recall, two one way valves and O rings.

Glad to hear it, it is a very finicky system and any small thing installed wrong will cause it to not work. On my older cars I have gone to installing an electric pump from newer cars.
