Finally bought my dream car. 1972 firebird with Ram Air hood scoops (cosmetic only) but have many questions. Body is solid, paint and chrome are a 10 out of 10. Interior will need some cosmetic work. This car came with a 350 with air conditioning but now has a 400 in it. How hard ($$) would it be to add air conditioning as it once had it (vents and AC switch etc)? Looking forward in starting the journey!

how did you determine the car had ac if the vents and switches are missing?
does it still have the ac evaporator core housing on the engine compartment firewall?

Thanks, Im actually flying up to Boston to look at it Friday. I see from the pictures that it does have the AC slide control and vents. Not sure why the AC is not working now but I will find out on Friday. Also, can I put 17" rims on this without modifications? Thanks for your help. Trey

if the rims are intended for that car, bolt pattern, back spacing, offset, yes they will fit with the correct size tire.
