1979 Pontiac Bonneville

[/URL][/IMG]I'm looking for the Left hand side rear bumper impact strip, for my 1979 Bonneville, I don't know the part number. It's that black plastic piece the goes from about midway of the bumper & curves around the end of the rear bumper. It's about 1 inch wide. There is one on each side of the rear bumper. My bumper doesn't have the rear bumper guards. Any help in locating one would be appreciated

I think it's called an impact strip. I'm looking for the drivers side rear bumper impact strip. Help

Take it off and it should have the GM part number right on it on the backside.

Then have a GM dealer parts dept. run the number.

My search for GM parts only goes back to 1982, sorry.

5 bumpers here: www.car-part.com (maybe one of them will sell you the rubstrip off it).

Most bumpers from these year cars rusted out fairly early , you will be real lucky to find one.

Looks like this place has a few 79's in Texas: ( at near the bottom )

A couple have the bumpers in the trunks........... ( blue one " parts car #1 "does and has the part on it)
