1984 pontiac fiero se 2.5 liter

back with my idle problem.removed the (iac)valve.pretty carboned.is it ok to use brakleen ( brake parts cleaner )?.any special process,other to spray the crap out of it.appreciate your advise.

Idle on fiero

Also clean hole in throttle body......(for iac)
Check throttle plate(both sides)
If you have lots of carbon build up check the whole throttle body and PVC valve....
Brake cleaner ok......
