I bought this 1990 Firebird formula a couple months ago and put a new cat and EGR valve on it to pass emissions. It stars and runs fine but if you push the gas too hard on take off or while driving down the road it stalls. Any ideas where to look will help.
The speedo also is not working, I bought a new transmission speed sensor and that worked for a day or two. I then opened it back up and discovered that the big nylon ger that goes onto the speed sensor just falls off inside, like there is a missing part or something anybody know the answer to this one?
Did you replace the air and fuel filters? Did you do a fuel pressure test?
If you referring to the nylon gear on the output shaft of the trani, the trani has to be disassembled.
