I bought this car a few months ago. It ran fine (I thought, anyway). All of the problems seemed to happen around the time I changed my spark plugs, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's the same problem. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong?

Here is what we have done in order.
1. Replaced Spark Plugs (dad said it sounded like they were needed).
---Car started running rough, misfiring.
---Exhaust system fell, cracked behind catalytic converter.
2. Remove catalytic converter.
---Car ran quieter
3. Change oil and air filter.
4. Fix loose vacuum hose.
---Girl at Advance checked my engine light and led me to a lose vacuum hose.
---Car ran better for a while, but continued misfiring when hot.
5. Put old spark plugs back in and turned idle up.
---Car ran better for a while, but continued misfiring when hot.
6. Replace spark plug wires.
---Car stopped noticeably missing, but started dying at intersections.
7. Clean TBI
--- No change.
8. Change alternator belt
--- unrelated, the belt was in bad shape, no change in performance.

It seems like everything that was done fixed it for a while, but a 20 min drive was all that was needed to get it acting up again. It appears to be temperature related, although the past couple days, the car hasn't needed to be hot before it acted up.

The car drives fine on the interstate. Stop and go traffic is very unpleasant.

Today it seemed to have a high idle, died at intersections, and on a steep hill. I had to be pushed up the hill. It usually restarts just fine, although it is having more and more trouble driving away (it wants to stall out more - 4 times in a parking lot earlier).

The people at Advance told me it might be the Idle Air Control or the Throttle Positioning Sensor. I also read that it may be a bad vacuum hose somewhere. Does anyone have any ideas of tests I can do that can point me in the right direction?
Trouble codes: 33 and 34

33 & 34 are codes for the Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor. Check the wires and hos to this or the sensor may be bad.
