1990 sunbird 2L turbo

I have put a new head gasket in my car and it runs rough. The turbo pressures up and it starts to back fire a little. The timing is set to 10 degrees and it doesn’t want to rev up. I have tourqued the head as per factory settings. Is it possible the head could need to be tightened more? Or has anyone had this issue or how can you check the valve set?

Why did you replace the head gasket?
Have you done a compression test?
Any chance firing order is off?

It had a wet cyclendar and found a blown head gasket so I replaced and now it is misfiring ?

Firing order is correct and have not done a compression test
Pulled the valve cover and all looks correct

It was a bad fuel relay.
