First, bear with me, I know nothing about cars, it is my brother who has helped me with everything to follow.

First, the car is a 1990 Pontiac Sunbird LE and the problem is that the speedometer is stuck at 100mph even when the car is turned off.

Now for the story... My grandparents gave me their old car a while back, which was before I had my license. Now I have my license and my brother is helping me to get it working again. The car has been sitting in the driveway for 4 years now. about 2 years ago we had to move the car, and when my brother went to jumpstart it he *thinks* he may have noticed the speedometer at 100mph at that time but isn't sure.

This weekend we went to get it working and have replaced the Battery, fuel injector, filter, brakes, rotors, spark plugs, spark plug wires, new oil, may be one other thing I am forgetting. Car works good now except that the speedometer is stuck. We are not sure what to do at this point. It has an electronic sensor versus a wire (I think I said that right!).

Unrelated issue: We had to replace the fuel injector this weekend as the car was not starting, there was no fuel getting through, once we replaced that it started right up.

Hopefully I covered everything that would be needed to help. Any ideas?

Thank you in advance!!
