1990 turbo - engine trouble

ok, I found it, fan works fine with a jumper so going to replace that relay and see what happens.

big issue is the staying in second gear. It takes off fine (in first) and shifts normal (not hard or slow) into second and then thats it. it acts like the kickdown is engaged. it doesn't try to slow the car when i let off the gas, just rolls and idles, then when back on the gas the rpms go up until it grabs and continues to accelerate, but no shift to third.

Maybe the TV cable is out of of adjustment?

Automatic transmission: TH-125 automatic transmissions may shift late or not upshift at all. The problem is a stuck throttle valve inside the transmission. (1991-94)
