1991 Pontiac Grand Am - I want to paint the car and do touch ups. Anyone have creative...

...suggestions? I wish to remove the Pontiac GrandAm lettering wherever it appears on the outside of the body in a nondestructive manner prior to painting. Is this possible?

Sure you can use a heat gun to help loosen the glue that holds the emblems on and a small stick to help lift them up and then just pull until the emblem comes off ..
there may be some adhisive left that can be worked off with a rubbing motion from a thumb or finger (it takes some time) but it won't hurt the paint in most cases ..
