hey my names mike my parents sunbird just took a huge dump. my dad was driving and he said he went to go from a red light and a puff of white smoke came out of the tailpipe. shortly after that the car started overheating. my dad pulled off the road asap. he let it cool down and tried to start it. wouldnt start. it finally started and he said it made a clicking noise really bad. when i got there i told him to pour water in the coolant tank thing. it was disappearing. i think some of it leaked out and i saw that. but i dont think that was all of the water he poured. he tried to start it and now it clicks once and the motor does nothing. no turning at all. the battery isnt dead its not making that clicking noise. its a mechanical click. when i was near the motor it sounded like you could hear something dripping in the motorbefore he tried starting it. im going to pull the starter and get it tested and see if the motor on it locked up or the selinoid locked up. im think the water pump broke but i dunno if its belt driven or time belt driven. any info would help alot. any ideas?
