I have a 1992 Sunbird. I bought it froma guy that lives in the city and never took it over 35mph. I drove it home and it did fine on the freeway. Got it home and threw a can of seafoam in it to clean it out and changed the fuel filter. It started running a little rough then, but I figured it was all of the gunk being burned out of it. Then I was going about 65 and one of the belts broke, the one that runs the water pump. Replaced the belt and now the car wont go over 30-35mph. It sounds like it's either running out of fuel or flooding out. I replaced the fuel filter again and then the fuel pump along with the O2 Sensor and another sensor. If you VERY slowly bring the rpms up it might get up to 60mph 1 out of 20 times. I've had it to 3 mechanics and they can't sem to find the problem. The last one diagnosed it with having a broken crank shaft but that sounds odd to me. The check engine light comes on and off randomly. The trany fluid is fine and so is the oil.
