Hey guys, I know may be crazy, but I am hunting the little small cover that goes inside the pocket for the door pull on the drivers door. It is a odd shaped cover, that covers the screw in behind the door release handle on the drivers door. Any suggestions?

It costs $ 64 to ship to my house from the dealer for a little plastic part :D

Junkyard or UPullit yards near you is the best bet.

WWW.Row52.com. (National UPullit yard Database), just sign up for email alerts for 88-94 Sunbirds. Might find a yard with one near you.

BTW, mine are both missing also, just sprayed the inside the door black so they don't show as much.

Yes, I would say its number 23. You think its possible that this part will be available new?

They show both the part# and the price, if it was no longer available it would say NA

I know it seems crazy, but I am a car crazy kinda guy. If I have it, I want it to work, look, and be as close to original as possible. This car was a one owner that was special ordered by the couple we got it from. We intend to use it as a second car/ride with the top down kinda thing. It is fully loaded.
Painting the door black in the door handle pocket it a great idea though. I don't see this car as ever getting my money back at any time, as I went all through it. Motor mounts, struts, shocks, brakes, rubber brake lines, full tune up etc. Can't see how 64.00 will matter at this point. Thanks for the help in finding this part, as I had been looking for a couple of months when I came across this forum.

good luck with the car

These cars are a dime a dozen, unless it was a rare car I could see that part was a justified buy.

Not in my book but to each its own, good luck with your 'Bird, it should last a long time as most of these do.

Hey guys, thanks for the advice. I actually ordered the part from tonkinonlineparts, only to have my money refunded due to the part being no longer available. My local Chevrolet dealer did find it within the GM parts system, although it cost 22.00 that way.

Now on to the windshield washer nozzle, lol...
