1994 Firebird Formula 5.7 V8 FUEL PUMP?

After running out of gas 1994 Firebird Formula 5.7 V8 will start but after a second shuts down. checked power at fuel pump relay and power good for prime function but pump relay does not allow pump to continously run to keep engine running. Whats wrong. suspect anti theft device

I suspect you burned out the pump by letting it run dry.

Check the fuel pressure with a gauge.
