1995 Pontiac grand am power window stop starts

front windows stop start is this a common problem

A 25 year old window system can develop issues.
Does "stop start" mean sometime it works and other times it does not?

Window will start down stop, if you keep pressing the switch or wait it will work again, same for going up. The driver window has been like this for years, now the passenger window is doing the same but worst. I was checking to see if this is a common problem with switches or something else rather than the motor, regulators on 1995 Pontiac Grand Am.

If you look at page 6-53 of the owners manual you will see a power window circuit breaker along with at least one other circuit breaker in the fuse box. If the circuit breakers are identical, switch them and see if that resolves the issue. If it does, replace the breaker with a new one.
