1995 sunfire running problem

I have a 1995 sunfire 2.2 idles fine but u put it in gear and give it gas try to drive it has no power and spits and backfire i built the fuel pump with an aftermarket pump this car is a nightmare well i had to put a hose clamp to hold the feed tube to the fuel ass lem any idea email me moda_hotrods6!&99 +9

Did you change the fuel filter when you changed the pump? Have you checked if any of the cylinders are misfiring by either pulling the plugs or while running carefully pulling a plug wire to see if there is a dead cylinder?
