Noticed something wrong with my car, it wasn't driving as smooth. When shifting in third and fourth gear my car shakes a little. It starts to smell like smoke, it's 10pm. The following morning the car worsens. I take it to pepboys and they told me that I have two leaks. They charged me 400 bucks to change power steering pump. They also said that I need a new oil pan and that would cost another 400 bucks, which I don't have. I pick up the car and it seems fine. I drive it a few hours later and it's shaking even worse now and it smells really burnt. There's no oil in my car. I put more oil in and the car is still in worse condition. I don't know what to do. I'm worried. I have a 1996 pontiac firebird.

you have a hole in the oil pan? do you have a check engine light on? if you have a hole you cannt drive the car, you need to fix it by replacing it or finding someone willing to weld the hole. you are doing severe damage to the engine by running it with a low oil level.
