The Seeker
I'm looking into buying a 1997 Firebird. The car is overall fairly nice, but I noticed oil in the anti-freeze, and that's a sure-fire way of telling whether or not it has a head gasket break or leak. This is really common among V6 cars. I have no idea how far along this is, whether simply replacing the head gasket will fix the problem or if it's worn down the block.
My questions are:
How much time/money does it take to fix/replace a bad head gasket?
&
Would it be worth it for me to buy the car and fix/replace it?
