I have a 1998 firebird 3.8 v6 recently the car does nor want to star. The car is getting fuel but no spark. I have bypassed the vats system changed the crank sensor and icm unit as well. Over time if you continue to try to start it it will get spark and run perfectly but once shut off back to the same issue no spark. Any ideas wod be great I'm out of ideas

how many miles on the car?

You say you have fuel, what do you mean by this?

Are you getting just fuel pressure or is atomized fuel getting to the combustion chamber?

Have you checked one of the injector connectors and confirmed with a noid light that your getting a pulse from the computer?

why did you replace the parts that you did? were you just hanging parts on the car or did you have a reason to install these parts?

Do you have any codes in the computer?

as above stated, what is the fuel pressure reading?

I replaced these parts because I had no spark. It is not a fuel issue. There is no spark getting to the coils. The car will crank over and once in a while start and run perfect but soon as you shut it off and go to start again same issue no spark

Look up on Auto Zone and sign up for free they will give you access to diagnostic information for the ignition system.

You may have something simple bad, like a failed ignition switch. Located near the bottom of the column.
