I have a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am GT with a Delco stereo in it stock. The cable on battery came loose and the stereo has went off. The lights come on but the clock display wont show anymore and the theft lock light is blinking. I cant turn my radio on or anything and don't have the money to go get it fixed so does anyone know how to fix this or where to start in finding the problem so I can work on getting it fixed?

Most car dealerships will help you out with things like this for free, so just bring it in and ask them.

ive heard some vehicles have something in the stock radio that wont allow u to change it out without a special device that emulates the stock radio
the computer might not be picking this up so u might be able to find this device cheaper than getting a new radio or ur old one fixed
but i think ur car is too old for that, just a thought

NOT TRUE! The factory harness uses the factory radio for things like the door chime, but you can use any aftermarket radio with the right adapter!
Bring your car to a dealership, they will look up the theftlock code for your car by the VIN number, and should be able to unlock your radio. If you have the origional paperwork that came with the car, there is a small card with the theftlock code on it in your owner's manual.
