I've been beaten up by shady mechanics on this one, so any help I could get I'd appreciate a lot.
My car's been overheating after only a little while on the road. It also, strangely, blows cold air when I turn on the heat, no matter how hot the engine is. It will, when overheating, start billowing white smoke out, which I assumed was just because the air is cold and the engine is hot.
The mechanic now is saying that coolant is coming out of the headgasket plugs (or something like that) and that the problem is either the headgasket or one of the cylinders.
Can anyone make sense of that? What else can I do?!
