Hi there, I am replacing the exhaust and I was wondering what stud bolts were. I am going to guess that they are what bolt the front and intermediate pipe to the cat. I think I saw six holes altogether. Thanks ahead of time!
bolts are obviously round threaded metal with a head usually in the shape of a hexagon. A stud has no head. In you diagram the studs connect the exhaust manifold to the pipe and are on the extreme left side of the diagram.
sorry I don't know why I said stud bolts I am just trying to figure out what I should use to connect my cat to my front pipe and my intermediate pipe. The ones on the far left are a bolt and spring but it does not say what to use the cat. The only other thing Rockauto has on their website in the exhaust section are these http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=1302278
