If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... Greetings, Just replaced an 3.8 engine in my 1998 Grand Prix with a 2005 3.8. The only issue I ran into was the alternator mounting is different, so I purchashed a 2005 alternator. The plugs are different between the two. They are both 2 wire, but I can't follow the schematics. They appear to be different. Can I cut the plug off the 1998 harness and splice a 2005 plug in it's place? Thanks
