Our '99 Montana has a VERY intermittent problem. In the 3 years we have had the Clock/ Radio station LED the overhead control fuel mileage, compass etc. illuminate only about 5-6 times, but only for a short period of time (minutes) I can see when the sun hits the radio LED "just right" I can see that it is showing the clock/ radio station. The rest of the radio lights do come on with the headlights OK. I have removed both the overhead display and the radio and it appears that we have power and ground. Do these 2 components work in conjunction? Since this is an older vehicle, I prefer not to put too much money into it, however if it is a simple fix it would be nice to have working. Thanks

It sounds like the bulb that is in the radio has an issue perhaps related to where it is soldered to the circuit board.
