1999 Pontiac sunfire ( the temperature gauge drops and if i turn off the car it

wont start until gauge lifts? When the temperature gauge drops the car lits the ETS ( electronic traction sistem) and if i turn off the car then it wont start again , i have to wait until the gauge lifts then the car start. Another thing is that when the gauge drops i have to floor the gas pedal to make it rise again. Can somebody help?

I would have the temperature gages replaced and see if that's the problem.When the temperature drops means the water not touching the sensor and it saves the engine in the event of water pump or coolant failed .I would have a service shop look it over and it could just be a broken wire.Good Luck
