so i have a 99 sunfire that runs fine when at a cool temp. when the car gets to a normal operating tempature, the tranny shifts really hard, and seems to be sticking in higher gears when i come to a stop(it will die or try to die),I can also hear a kinda of whinning noise from what i assume is the torque converter, the fluid levels are fine, but heres the strange part,if i turn the car completely off for at least 10seconds,restart,and resume driving,it corrects the problem for a short time..has anyone had this issue and what can it be? I was told a bad pcm,but the car gives no codes when hooked to a code reader and the check engine light is NOT on? I'm so confused its like my car has bi-polar diorder! HELP
