1999 Sunfire Automatic Transmission Question

I have a 99 sunfire, that when I put it into D, it will shift into 1st and 2nd fine but will not go into 3rd or over-drive.. Does anyone know what the problem could be? BTW.. Reverse is fine as well.

If your lucky it's a shift solenoid, take it to Ammco or similar transmission specialist.

but a speed sensor is cheaper and you can get those tested too!!! dont rule it out!

just curious if the fluid level was checked. no dipstick. drastedly check plug?
