2.2 build vs 2.4 build

k so i got 2 options at hand.. i have the 2.4l thats sitting in my sunfire right now, running, but 241xxx KM on the engine. i also have at hand, a 2.2l, running, but in need of a rebuild. what is the better option in terms of HP gain. which motor will i be able to get more power out of if i build it up?

i would vote for the bigger engine, with dual cams and 4 valves per cylinder

thats what I've been thinking, but can it handle the number I'm looking from it... I'm shooting for a 200-250 HP 4 cyl..

it can handle as much money as your willing to pour into it to gain that level of power.
