I drive my sunfire to work everyday with no problems, today i went to change the spark plugs. I put them in one at at time so i wouldnt have to worry about mixing up the spark plug wires. I go to start the car and it won't start. I put the old ones back in for the hell of it and the same thing happens. It's turning over just not starting.

Like i said the car was running fine before the plugs, i work on cars all the time and this has never happened to me.

any suggestions?

check if you are getting spark at the plug end of the wires

It has spark, I even got new wires.. Wtf!?

i jumped it because of all the cranking i was doing. I thought maybe the battery was getting weak. It started, i rev-ed it a little to make sure there was no misfiring and there wasn't. Then i turned the air on and it died. no it won't start again...

i had the battery check it is fine, i have spark now I'm gonna change the fuel filter. Once again i didn't have any issues driving this car before i went to change the plugs.. I drive this car to work with no issues ... UGH?!

what year sunfire

when you did the plugs did you double check gaps and make sure they were down far enough in block and tight my 95 did something alittle similar to that

my girlfriends old '96 cavalier used to do that whenever the battery got disconnected for any length of time. I would have to basically teach the car to idle again by holding the gas pedal at the revs it needs to idle until when I let go of the pedal and it would stay running
