If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... I have been looking at a few used Pontiac's lately, 2000 and newer, different models.

I'm wondering about the reliability of the engines and transmissions of these years, how many miles can be exoected from them, with proper care.

Most of the complaints at Carsurvey.org http://www.carsurvey.org/ are about the ball joints, break wear, rattles and squeeks. Not much about the drive train.

thanks

Just like any car if you take care of it in most cases it will last many miles.
