I have a 2000 Grand Am 2.4L that ran fine when parked one evening and the next morning cranks fine but doesn't start. The fuel pump runs for several seconds when the key is turned on. The fuel filter is new. If the inlet air plenum is removed and gas squirted in the intake the car runs so it is definately a fuel problem. There is fuel in the tank. The security light is not flashing. I checked the fuel injector fuse. There are no computer codes and no check engine light. There doesn't appear to be any schraeder valve on the fuel rail for pressure testing. How does one check fuel pressure on this car? Any other ideas on what could be causing a fuel problem? I suspect the injectors aren't firing. How is this confirmed?
