Well, I brought it to the shop and they said I need a new computer. Car was over heating. The fans will not come on when temp. goes over 220f. Fans work when tested from the relay switch.
My question is can I set the fans to always be on by closing the circuit?
Is there any way I can check or restart the computer?
Where is the engine computer located?

2000 Grand Am GT 3400 v6

Thanks.

More than likely your solenoid or relay for the fans is corroded with rust and not getting a good connection. You can clean the terminals or you can replace the relay altogether. I would suggest replacing the relay or bypassing it altogether, if you bypass it you can put a toggle switch under your dash somewhere. I wouldn't recommend having it run constantly.
