2000 Grand Am GT1 question

I recently bought a 2000 grand am GT1. 3.4L 3400. I have decided that since it is going to be my daily driver i shouldn't go mod crazy on it like i did on the firebird. So i think i am going to allow myself 1 mod. Question: Is it possible to M90 a 3400 V6, or only the 3.8L? If so what mods would be necessary ...tune/plugs/heads....ect. any information would be appreciated.
