Hey all. Im having some issues with my transmission, specifically the 4T65E-HD in the gtp. I can put it into gear, drive, reverse and all of those and it will move for a few seconds, but then acts like it's in neutral in any gear. Only way to fix it is I can turn the car off for a few minutes, and then turn it back on and it does the same thing as before. I don't think the transmission is fully out or else it wouldn't work at all, but I could be wrong. If it helps any, the 1st gear shift solenoid was stuck open before any of this happened if that's related to the issue.

You need a shop that can run diagnostics on the transmission. They can activate the solenoids and see the response and see if codes are thrown.

Will a normal scanner not detect the codes? Or is it all just the fact that the Pontiac won't throw the codes into a SES light
