My 2000 Pontiac Grand AM GT with 113,000 miles cuts off in the middle of operating. This usually happens when stopping at a stop light or taking off from a stop light. It seems like it is idling way to low. When I stop at a light I have to give it gas for it to stay on. I have heard that this could be the EGR valve, the crankshaft sensor or just plain old cheap gas. I filled up the gas tank with Walmart gas about 15 mile before it cut off on me. Usually when I use Walmart gas the engine would stumble upon acceleration, now it just cuts off. Which one do you guys think it is?

The Intake Air Manifold was replaced before being purchased if that helps any.

I had precisely the same problem and eventually got rid of the car because of it. It just gets worse. I have been told it was a lot of things, but nothing I did fixed it. The best advice I ever had was someone telling me they had the same car and the same problem. Apparently, it is a design flaw, but I can't say what could fix it. Just my 2 cents.
