I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand AM. Yesterday, I did some work on the car (fuel press regulator, water pump, brakes). After I put everything back together, I noticed that the speedometer isn't working.

1. Where does the speedometer get its signal from? Transmission or wheel speed sensors?

2. Is there some connector around where I was working that i might have bumped?

3. Suggestions for fixing this...

the sensor is on the tranny.its not even close to where you were working.but did you have to undo any grounds going to the engine/tranny that you forgot to bolt back up?i would pop the hood and take a visual of everything to see.im sure you just forgot something or pos bumped something to make the car do what its doing.
