2000 pontiac grand AM V6 idle problems?

i have a 2000 grand am v6 recently when driven it idles higher then normal (1000rpm warm) whe i slow down the rpms go up and when i shift into park the idle goes to 1500-2000rpms. I was thinking it could be the idle air control valve. Anyone else think this or should i be looking somewhere else to fix this problem? thanks you all in advance

ck vacuum leaks first. idle control valve is not very common problem for this car. there are some vacuum hose, such as fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose, MAP sonsor, power brake booster vacuum hose, all those hoses attach to upper intake manifold. ck those hose are crack or break.
by the way, check upper intake manifold is crack or not, i have seem one before that cause high idle. you can spray some water around those areas to hear any sucking noise.
