My 2000 sunfire has an abs light on. I scaned it and it threw a code for the left rear speed sensor. After replacing the speed sensor my abs light still comes on occasionally. It will come on if I put my car in reverse then back in drive, or if I make a u turn, and sometimes just randoming when turning. If I drive straight and never turn it won't come on. And sugestions as to what the issue is?

well you might need a assistant..just makes it easy..but there is 2 wires to the sensor that lead to the ecm..test each wire placing one lead on one end of one wire and the other lead at the other end of the same wire, on the wheel which you replaced the sensor.do that to both and check what each reading is...it should be 0 ohms..if it shows any numbers then most likely the wires are bad

Definitely check the wiring at the harness. These wires can break at the harness. When you turn, the wires are being stretched slightly and when the wheels are straightened out they are pushed back into the harness.

So far I've had both front sensors replaced and replaced the harness pigtail on the passenger side because one of the wires were broken... Still having the same problem

you should replace the whole wire and not just put a new pigtail in..the abs sensors are testy and the wire could still be the problem
