2000 sunfire intermittent start issue

Hello,

I have a 2000 sunfire and it will mot start sometimes. It won't crank ar all. I here some clicking, I think under the hood towards the back. Mechanic switched ignition switch just to try. As he couldn't duplicate the issue. The issue doesn't happen often. I thought the switch fixed it cause it went a month without happening. Most times it will start like next turn of they key but sometimes it doesn't. You just wait and then it starts. May happen once a week or so.

If you have a 2.4L engine it could be a starter relay

My said the when she starts the car that security light stays on solid. Im thinking of putting one of these in.

My wife said th security light stays on solid when it wont start. Could this be the psaalock problem even though its not flashing?
I may just buy this.
