2001-2005 Grill on 2000???

i been researching parts for my 2000 Montana. i already know the hood, fenders, bumper reinforcement, & lights are all the same 99-05. the only difference is in the shorter grill 2001-2005. my question is can i replace the bumper cover & grill on my 2000 with 2001-2005 ones???. the 99-00 grill is a real big pain to find. if not i may have t look for one in sales section. TY for any advice in advance.

By looking at your grill from the little picture next to your name it doe'nt look broke ,I know sometimes they come loose from the inside and want to fall out if that's the case just silicone that thing back in there .

I dont think the upper grill or bumper covers from an 03-05 fit on a 2000. The grills are slightly bigger and are slanted to the centre on a 03-05 where the 2000's are more straight. The bumper covers are also different in that the vents are more shapely in the 03-05 compared to the 2000. Not sure if the entire bumper assembly would fit either. Have you tried your local wrecking yard for these parts? I know you can get after market grill inserts that look decent, but that may depend on the condition of your grill case as to whether you can use them.

thought id clarify my question better. basically i wanting to take the bumper cover and grill from a 2001-2005 Montana and put it on a 2000 Montana. headlights, turn signals, hood, fenders, and bumper enforcement are all the same in 99-05. the only differences is the grill and bumper cover. im including a combined image as some examples. images are from Wikipedia. the first picture is my dark blue 2000 van, and the grill a pain to find
 
it sure looks like it would fit ,not sure about the mounting tabs

My van isn't here right now or I'd check as I have the same style, however, look underneath the hood, and you should see that the grille portion just bolts on to it. Its a pretty small light piece of plastic. you just unbolt that and put the 01+ one on. So maybe take it off and bring it to the junkyard with you to check if the holes line up.

I would bet on it working. GM is notorious at just making everything the same on every car they make. Its why putting a 3.8l in a van is so damn easy. The wiring harness is even 99% identical.
 
that be a sweet motor upgrade 3.4 to 3.8. so many cares are identical and all they change is trim. its annoying. i been price checking a new bumper cover and newer grill. its sa the parts about unpainted. apparently the grill is 165 at the dealer. seams no one has one these vans in salvage where i live. 60 salvage yards in area and none these vans. well there is a pick-it place i haven't checked. reason i haven't checked is they don't keep a list of what cars they have. its a hour drive to get to hence why i didn't go yesterday when i found the place.
