2001 grand am starts and dies??

Hey guys. I got an 01 grand am gt with the 3.4. went to start it one day and it starts, idles for a second and immediately dies. I also noticed the radio quit working, and the door locks, door dinger, and the interior lights don’t work either. The radio comes on briefly when the car starts and then turns off again when it dies. Security light comes on after it dies and stays on steadily. I tried replacing the ignition switch and doing a re learn multiple times and no change. Checked all fuses and the fuel pump is working. Put a code reader on the the only code that came back was for random misfire. Any advice ?
 
Is the security light still on after changing the switch and going through the relearn while the car is running?
Have you done a fuel pressure test?
 
yes security light is still on. The switch made no difference. Never checked fuel pressure but there is good flow when you open the valve on the fuel rail with the key on
 
That's not how you check fuel pressure.
What relearn procedure did you use?

Just turned the key and left it in the run position. It says your supposed to leave it for 10 mins and the light will go out. I left it for 35 and it never went away
 
You followed the wrong process.
Google Passlock relearn, not Passkey.
There are 3 cycles of leaving key on and off.
 
I did follow pass lock relearn procedure. It says the security light is supposed to turn off after 10 minutes and it doesn’t
 
Did you replace the lock cylinder?

Did not replace the lock cylinder, just the switch the cylinder goes into. A new cylinder is $300 where I’m at. Did not want to spend the coin on that if I didn’t know that was the problem
 
Did you do any research into Passlock and how it works?
To my knowledge the sensor is part of the lock cylinder not the switch.
