Has anyone figured out a way to replace the "unreplacable" plastic clips for the window regulators?

I am having a very difficult time spending the money to replace an entire window regulator because these darn pieces of plastic didn't hold up.

It was tolerable to live without the passenger window working, but now the driver side just gave way and I need some ideas.

Thanks!

you can purchase them from a gm dealer and there is a special glue/urythane to use to adhere them back to the window. common grand am problem.

This is not for the part that glues to the window --- it is the little white plastic clips that connect that guide to the regulator --- cheap plastic --- that have broken on both of my windows. (and when I went to a dealer - they said I had to replace the entire regulator -- even though the motor works just fine)

Any ideas?

Hit up the junk yards and grab several that are in good shape. The door is real easy to take apart and fix yourself.

is there a how to on fixing this problem? seems like several people have done it, can anyone write one up please!? :)

Rockauto.com has them...i replaced mine 3 years ago and still holding up in this florida heat lol.....

I had to replace mine twice, I replaced the regulator which I bought off ebay for 50 bucks and the plastic clips you can get at any auto parts store just make sure you buy adhesive that will hold.
Hope this helps.
