I have a 2001 Pontiac Aztek. About 2 weeks ago I started having trouble starting it. When I turn the key I can hear the starter rolling but the engine doesnt start. If I try starting it a few more times it almost always will start. At first it was just after it had sat overnight, but now it is almost every time I start it. I replaced the starter and battery all of a week ago. It still does it. I have tried giving it gas while trying to start it. Sometimes if I turn the key to the on position and leave it sit a few seconds before trying to start it it will start right up, but this has been working less the last few days. I know my fuel pump is working, so all I can think is possibly the fuel injectors or the fuel filter. A friend mentioned maybe the carburetor needed to be cleaned. I am hoping these will work but I am doubtful. Its just odd that it takes so many tries to start, even with full power.

well there is your problem right there you bought the ugliest car ever made... they are not built very well thats why most of them end up in the junk yard....

hook up an obd scanner and scan for error codes.

Anything else is a wild guess. Like the ignition switch.
