my car has been bogging for a pretty long time...

so yesterday i took it into a 3rd shop for a diagnosis and i paid $101.64 for it
what they did was perform a smoke test, test sensors, fuel pressure test, alternator load test..funny part was they didnt find any leaks, i didnt see smoke coming out of any of the hoses or the intake manifold...they said how my PVC hose coming from the IM wasnt connected properly to the seperate tube that came with the air intake, so they clamped that on, they couldnt find anything else..after 2hrs he was like i needed to update my PCM with 2 latest softwares, one was "cold hesitation rpm" and i forget the other one, he was trying to make me pay another $125 for the software updates saying how it "might" solve my bogging and higher idle problem...i was like ill come back in a week and just left...they didnt find any solutions to the following

1. idle is high by 200rpm extra (usually idles firm at 600rpm)
2. bogging down if i hold the accelerator at the same spot for over 40seconds
3. fairly loud enough whistle sound coming from the engine bay as i accelerate and when the gear is about to change (whistle sound is only present during light acceleration, not at WOT, although this whistle was even there when i first bought the car 60,000kms ago)
4. engine rocking back and forth once it fully warms up

i have replaced almost everything, FPR, both o2's, oem cat, map, tps, complete tune up 3 times from 171,000-210,000km span, camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor...NO SES lights on, which confuses everyone at every garage i go too. the first garage i been to checked over the timing and it was fine. 2nd garage checkd all the mounts and looked carefully at all vac lines and it came out fine as well..

im getting sick wasting money now, the stupid guys are saying how the new softwares "may" solve all my problems. lol i doubt it....before i left the store he was like "anushan, if came up to me and gave me your keys and said FIX IT, i would do w/e it takes to bring that wonderful car back up to its level how it rolled from the factory..." he's an old guy too, seemed like he was tryna steal my cashh

anyways one of the mechanics told the store owner/receptionist that " it may be the intake manifold having cracks causing it to whistle" but he never told me that to my face, i had to keep my ears wide open everytime the mechanic came to the door and spoke to him with the door halfway closed lol

i've spent too much diagnosing that i dont want to have it checked up anymore..so someone please chime in and let me know what steps to take...

1. keep driving as is, untill something blows up !
2. found a new engine 90kms away from here, 88,700kms straight off a 2001 grandam...$558 (they say it runs excellent and said its GRADE A)
3. change the fuel pump and call it a day?
4. put a new PCM?
5. put a new tranny + torque converter? (i donno if rpms bogging down of upto 500-1000rpm is considered to be caused by a faulty TCC SOLENOID, or torque converter failure)
6. roll everything back to stock, sell my cool stuff, and sell the car away for $1800 maybe? lol it does have 215,000kms though...

**NOTE: i also noticed wen i first start my car in the morning, the idle is around 1400, slowly goes down to 1100 in 5seconds, then bounces back up to 1400 or 1500 and then settles down slowly as it warms up

car info: 2001 pontiac grandam se 2.4l, 215,000kms
