2001 pontiac grand am se bucking and stalling whats the problem?

ok lets see where do i start off... on sunday my car died...it ended up being the altornater so i had got that fixed...and everything ran fine and smoothly... then on monday night i was parked on a slight hill shut my car off did some errands came back out and tried to start it..when i did it was violently bucking so i gave it the gas to try and bring it to a smooth idle and when i pumped the gas it was like there was no gas being let into the lines like something was blocking it...then i finaly got it started without stalling but the bucking was still there backed it out of the spot and it stalled...so i had it towed home...the next morning(tuesday) i started it and it started up fine no stalling or bucking...then wednesday i drove it to work... it was fine beautiful ride then when i got out i tried starting it like 3 or 4 times and it stalled each time...then on hte 5th try it started up nice and went and was fine the rest of the day...then today thursday it was good all day long not stalling.. any ideas???
OK there are no check engine lights on at all...i had a fuel filter and complte tune up done a month ago...as well as scanning for codes...there were no codes what so ever and no stored codes from in the past...
 
Clogged fuel fileter???
While on the flats it's OK, but after parking it on a hill, the sediment in the tank drifted inside the tank near the fuel pick-up and filter. (Some cars have the filters inside the tank). The intermitent stalling is likely due to some residual debris still in the filter.

Once the fuel filter has been compromised, it's only a matter of time before it MUST be replaced. This would cause it to run rough, and give you the feeling that little or no gas was getting to the fuel injectors.
 
1 ever been tuned since 2001?
2 check engine litwe on? it DOES mean something other than loose gas cap
3have a good battery with clean tight battery cables..

My husband is ASE Master Certified and he said to let you know that the mass air flow sensor needs to be replaced. Take the car to Auto zone and they will scan it for free as a customer courtesy that they do. If the code is for the mass air flow sensor, buy the part and have someone put it on for you if you are not mechanically inclined yourself. It's a lot less expensive to go that way instead of taking it in to a shop.
 
Well you said it yourself, you were on a hill. If you were low on gas and were on a hill, the pump inside the gas tank could not get any gas.

The fuel pump is inside the gas tank and the tank is slightly tilted forward in the car if it was on a hill, it could not feed fuel to the engine.
Keep atleast 1/2 tank of fuel in it.
