My Sunfire (GT Coupe, 2.4 Twin Cam, 2 door, 2001), has an interesting problem.
I was away on vacation for the past week and a half, my cousin was watching the car for me (starting it everyday since it's below 0 temps). Anyways, she tells me that the alarm went off and she couldn't get it off, but she started the car and it was fine afterwards. The day before yesterday the car wouldn't start. I get home last night and the car still wouldn't start. It won't turn, nothing. It clicks a little, but that's it. We thought it was the battery, so we get a new battery and installed it, but it still doesn't start. We tapped the starter with a wrench, still nothing. Checked the fuses, nothing. The check engine light, the battery light, and the oil can light are on on the dashboard. Another interesting thing? The gear shift moves, but never comes out of park. Is it the anti-theft system disabiling the whole car, or would it be something else?
