2002 Grand Am Coolant overflow

My 2002 Grand Am's low coolant light has turned on and my car has just overheated, causing the anti-freeze reservoir to overflow. The car heats up incredibly fast when turned on. Is my problem the water pump, or thermostat.

It can be many things, water pump, hose leak, thermostat, blown intake gasket, radiator leak, etc. Pressure test the system to see if you have a leak. Look in your oil filler cap to see if you have a blown head gasket and coolant is mixing with oil.
