Hi there! I just bought a 2002 GAGT last week, ran great. Filled it with gas and it dropped dead a mile from the gas station. Thought I saw a flash of "Security" when that happened. Felt like it ran out of gas. Now I cannot start it at all, will not even turn over. The Security light is not on. I have tried the tricks I have read about: key "on" for ten minutes, shut off, restart. Key to "Acc" for 15 minutes, turn off, restart. Nothing happens when I do this. With the key turned "on", a lot of the idiot lights come on for a moment (seems normal), then go out, but I never see the security light. Also, once the idiot lights have gone out, my gas gauge reads zero and the low fuel light is lit (car is FULL). Seems as if ignition may not be "on". When I hit the starter position, the gas gauge will dip slightly below empty, but nothing else happens. Anyone with any ideas? The radio was replaced and it is a real hack job, a mess behind the radio. Key is also sloppy and you have to jiggle it to turn it... Help!!

did you start with checking the battery connections both at the battery, the starter, and the ground? Since you already know you have a bad key cylinder or some part of it, could be the ignition switch. Did you check all fuses under hood and in passenger compartment?
