2002 grand am turns over but wont start

If the chain broke and caused the damaged spark plug and the valves are open...........but first you need a reliable battery and gauge.

Okay battery is fine. I think the wires might be short, but after knocking them around with the headlights turned on they work for now. The engine is seized though. Tried to turn the crankshaft with a socket and it wouldn't budge. That explains the one click and no turnover I guess. How should I go about un-seizing the engine? Or is it truely seized, car is in park (obviously I don't know what I'm doing) but I wouldn't think that would cause me not to be able to turn the crankshaft, right?

with the spark plugs removed, remove the valve cover and try turnng the crank by hand either direction while watching for any valve movement. If the crank does move in either direction with no valve movement the timing chain broke. If you do see valve movement than you have to remove the cylinder head to see whats going on inside.

Pulled the valve cover and there were like 4 broken wheel looking things in there. You can see pictures of them here. THIS IS A IMAGE VIEWING WEBSITE --> http://imgur.com/a/8qWkI
What are those things? Can the be replaced and why were there non-broken ones just loose in there?

You have broken rocker arms. They were caused by the valves in those cylinders hitting something, probably the piston. Looks more and more like you have a broken timing chain and it caused lots of internal damage.

Just an update, took to a professional, car jumped time needs a new engine. Thanks for your help.

sorry to hear that, good luck.
